CROSSFADED

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 13, 2026

1. Overview

Crossfaded is a booking and residency-management platform that connects venues and event promoters ("Organizations") with DJs. This policy covers everyone with a Crossfaded account — Organization staff and DJs alike — and explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

Crossfaded accounts are currently invite-only. If you're reading this, you either received an invite link from an Organization, applied through a public application link, or were sent an onboarding link directly by us.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, information generated by using the platform, and a small amount of information from third parties you choose to connect (like Google, if you sign in that way).

We do not currently collect or store payment card details on Crossfaded. Any payment for bookings is arranged directly between the Organization and the DJ, outside the platform.

3. How we use it

  • Operating the platform — creating your account, authenticating logins, keeping your session active across the app.
  • Matching & scheduling — using availability blocks and genre/profile data to suggest DJs for events and flag scheduling conflicts.
  • Communication — sending booking notifications, invite emails, password-reset emails, and (if enabled) push notifications.
  • CueAI — your prompts to Crossfaded's AI assistant are processed to generate a response; we don't use this content to train models.
  • Safety & integrity — detecting abuse, enforcing our Terms of Service, and keeping the invite-only signup gate working as intended.
  • Improving the product — understanding how features are used so we can fix what's broken and prioritize what's next.

4. How we share it

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Information is shared in these specific ways:

  • Within your Organization. If you're a DJ, the Organizations you're a member of can see your profile, availability, and booking history with them. Organization admins can see their own staff roster and all DJs on their roster.
  • Service providers we rely on to run Crossfaded:
ProviderPurpose
RailwayApplication hosting and our Postgres database
Cloudflare R2Storage for uploaded photos and mix submissions
ResendSending transactional email (invites, password resets, booking notifications)
GoogleOptional sign-in ("Continue with Google") if you choose to use it

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Crossfaded, our users, or the public.

5. Cookies & sessions

Crossfaded uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. It's set to work across our subdomains (admin.crossfaded.app and dj.crossfaded.app) so one login carries across the platform. This cookie is strictly necessary for the app to function — we don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Data retention

We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period after in case it's needed for dispute resolution, record-keeping, or legal obligations. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal details; some booking records may be retained in de-identified or aggregate form for Organizations' historical records.

7. Your rights

  • Access and update most of your account and profile information directly from your Crossfaded settings.
  • Ask us to correct, export, or delete your personal information by contacting us (see below).
  • Withdraw consent for optional features (like push notifications) at any time through your device or browser settings.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Traffic to Crossfaded is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We apply standard security headers to the app and restrict access to production systems to authorized personnel. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — but we treat any suspected breach seriously and will notify affected users where required by law.

9. Children's privacy

Crossfaded is intended for venue/event professionals and performing DJs. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever this policy changes. For material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active users directly (e.g. by email) before the change takes effect.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@crossfaded.app.
